Intergenerational Ministries are alive and well at Peace!! We have Faith and Care Teams of high school and college students that visit community nursing homes as well as home-bound members of Peace. We also have “Share the Care” and Care Team Ministries that involve all generations of members and non-members, for friendly visits, some minor care giving, and respite care! Please contact Karen Marshall, RN, Parish Nurse for more information on how to become involved in one of these great ministries.

Faith and Care
Faith and Care is made up of groups of trained HS/College youth that serve our elderly church/community members with friendly biweekly visits to local nursing homes.

Visits include reading, story telling, games, walks, hand massage and holiday projects. Faith and Care is also an option for the 9th grade confirmation curriculum.

Share the Care

Share the Care is a formalized group of people pulled together to care and support an individual or family during a time of serious illness or injury. This group creates a caregiver “family” from friends, actual family members, neighbors, co-workers and acquaintances.

Care Team Ministries

Care Team Ministries serve our homebound members. This is an opportunity to get involved with one-to-one care with members of our congregtion and commuity that need respite, friendly visits, or assistance with a special need. All you need is a smile and one hour of time each month to make a difference. Families, couples, and individuals of all ages are invited to serve.
